Dr. William Dixon serving as Acting Chief Data Officer/AVP
Dr. William Dixon assumed the role of MCC’s Acting Chief Data Officer & Associate Vice President of Institutional Research and Assessment on March 1, 2025.
Since joining MCC in 2017 as Director of Institutional Research, Dr. Dixon has played critical roles in several institutional research initiatives that support the College’s strategic priorities. He has 24 years of experience in Institutional Research, has played a role in creating state policy related to student success metrics in three states, has extensive regional accreditation experience, and has served as a Middle States Peer Reviewer. Additionally, he has overseen data warehousing and Banner implementation, helped create and oversees the award-winning data champion initiative at MCC, is an expert on data extraction, interpretation, and data ethics, leads MCC's predictive analytics initiative and serves as data lead for our Unlocking Opportunity implementation team.
Dr. Dixon holds an Ed. D. in Curriculum and Instruction from Liberty University, an M.S. in Clinical Psychology, and a B.S. in Psychology and Criminal Justice from Radford University.
