Women's History Month: The American Association of Women in Community Colleges

As we celebrate Women’s History Month, we wanted to highlight a special organization you may want to join! The American Association for Women in Community Colleges (AAWCC) officially celebrated its 50th year in 2024. Made up of dozens of chapters nationwide, AAWCC’s mission is to change women’s lives through leadership and education, thus strengthening our colleges and communities.

MCC’s AAWCC chapter hosts many programs for professional development, community service, and student support. Our chapter is always looking for new members and ideas to help foster growth and collaboration to enhance MCC’s vision of championing equity, opportunity, innovation, and excellence while transforming students’ lives and communities.

Visit the AAWCC MCC website to learn more about the organization, join, and get news about events.
