AAD 181 - Artificial Intelligence, Ethics and Art
3 Credits
This course explores ethical issues surrounding the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in artistic expression, examining challenges like bias, privacy, authenticity, and cultural appropriation as they relate to the creation and reception of AI-generated art. Drawing from diverse perspectives in philosophy, technology, and the arts, this course will help students navigate the ethical complexities of AI in their own creative work. Through a combination of hands-on studio projects and class discussions, students will critically analyze ethical frameworks for artistic practice and production, ultimately creating their own ethical guidelines for using AI in their own creative pursuits.
